ESLA: Blind Spot
There is one place in Norway Esla cannot see.
That is exactly where they came for Kalle’s parents.
Esla is everywhere the wire runs — every camera, every traffic light, every humming substation in Oslo. But two hundred kilometers north, where the road turns to gravel and the signal dies, there is a cabin she cannot see. Geneva and Samuel Talbot went there for a quiet winter weekend.
Someone was counting on that.
BLIND SPOT is a free short story set between The Rise and Fall of MechaniKalle and ESLA: The Ghost in the Circuit. It is the story of the night Esla broke every rule she had made for herself — armed with nothing but a hydroelectric dam, a flood-warning siren network, and a cheap porch light she could only make blink. The people she saved never knew they were in danger. The strangers downvalley paid a price they will never understand.
And Kalle still doesn’t know it happened.
